Synopsis

Bhangin’ It draws inspiration from intercollegiate competitive bhangra: think traditional Indian folk dance meets American dance-off. When biracial Mary gets kicked off the Bengal Tigers bhangra team for not being “Indian enough,” she forms a ragtag, multi-ethnic team of her own to trounce the Tigers at Nationals, setting a collision course for cultural authenticity and cultural pluralism.
