About NAMT

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT), founded in 1985, is a not-for-profit organization serving the musical theatre community. Our mission is to be a catalyst for nurturing musical theatre development, production, innovation and collaboration.

FALL CONFERENCE & FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS

Held in New York City every October, the Fall Conference brings NAMT members together to discuss the latest in new musical development and production. Then, the Festival of New Musicals showcases 8 new musicals and more in a celebration of what’s new and next in the field.

Spring Conference

The Spring Conference covers marketing, fundraising and “the full patron experience,” hosted by NAMT member theatres in a different city each year in March or April. Its attendees are the lead decision-makers at their respective organizations and sponsoring or exhibiting at a NAMT conference provides you with access to specific individuals interested in working with you.

Email Newsletters

Advertise in NAMT’s newsletters year-round to reach the top musical theatre producers, administrators and writers in the United States and abroad!

News & Notes is sent on the first Friday of every month (in months where the first Friday falls on a holiday or during a major NAMT event, it is sent on the following Friday), and contains NAMT announcements, and member and industry news. The newsletter is sent to NAMT members, Festival of New Musicals alumni writers, and major donors (around 1,700 recipients as of May 2024).

Table Read goes out mid-month to the same group as above as well as other musical theatre writers and members of the general public who are interested in new works news (around 7,500 recipients as of May 2024). It focuses on new musical development, including updates on Festival shows and writer opportunities.

Both newsletters have open rates above the industry average. Ads cost $50 per newsletter per month. (NAMT organizational members get 30% off!)
