Members in the News: Baldwin Wallace Grad Makes Broadway History

Kyle Jean-Baptiste, a recent graduate of NAMT academic member Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music, made history July 23 when he went on in the role of Jean Valjean in the Broadway production of Les Misérables, becoming both the youngest actor and the first African American to play the role on Broadway, according to

Jean-Baptiste normally plays the Constable and Courfeyrac in the production. He’s currently scheduled to go on as Valjean again on July 29th at 2, August 1st at 2, August 13th at 7, and August 27th at 7 if you want to catch him in the role.
