The Frank Young Fund for New Musicals supports collaborations between member theatres and musical theatre writers via grants to NAMT’s US-based not-for-profit members to support writer residencies, workshops and full productions of new musicals.

The Impact & Exploration Fund helps member theatres pilot new ideas in various administrative and production areas to advance their missions.

Grants are available to NAMT member organizations in good standing.

Frank Young Fund for New Musicals

Through the National Fund for New Musicals, the NAMT supports collaborations between member theatres and musical theatre writers. Through a competitive submission process, NAMT’s National Fund provides grants to support new musicals at all stages of development, at theatres of all sizes, with the goal of bringing quality new musicals to audiences across the country.

Impact and Exploration Fund

The Impact & Exploration Grant is designed to help NAMT member theatres pilot new ideas in various administrative and production areas to advance their missions. By reducing the financial burden, these project grants will allow theatres to take some risks and try new ideas, contributing to the overall growth and health of the field. Lessons learned will be shared with the entire NAMT membership, leading to opportunities for more innovation and continual growth.
