Synopsis

A 12-person, single-set music drama, The Screams of Kitty Genovese is based on the true story of Kitty Genovese, who was stabbed to death outside her home in Kew Gardens, Queens on Friday, March 13, 1964. Using a sung-through score blending various musical styles, Kitty Genovese examines the plight of the victim as she screamed for more than a half-hour, as well as the plights of the 38 neighbors who watched from their windows and did nothing.
